To begin their fundraising, Dover College are holding a raffle on the run up to Christmas, and this will be drawn at their Christmas Fayre on Friday 4th December. All the money raised from their raffle will go towards their fundraising target for Ronald McDonald House.
The committee are currently trying to gather prizes for the raffle for example beauty vouchers, a free meal, trips and other experiences. Dover College are appealing to the community in the hope that they might be willing to donate suitable prizes. The more exciting the prizes the more money they can raise to reach their fundraising target. Any donations of prizes will be gratefully received by the Charity Committee by 27th November. Thank you so much in advance and support.
If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact the Head of Charity Committee at Dover College by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you in advance for your time and help.
A huge thank you to all the Dover College community who participated in Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal. A record number of 248 shoeboxes were collected this year, and are now on the way to be processed, transported and delivered around Christmas to children around the world who are struggling to overcome the effects of poverty, disease, famine, or war.
Over the coming weeks leading up to Christmas the Charity Committee would like to challenge everyone to think about the gifts that we can give to others, rather than how much we can receive ourselves. Let’s look to experience the joy of giving, rather than receiving, and as Mother Teresa once said, “Do small things, with great love.”

We are delighted to announce that Sarah Kennet has been appointed Head of Science, and will be starting at the College on the 1st December. Sarah relocated to Kent in September to get married on 13 October 2015, having previously been Head of Science at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School in Reigate, Surrey. Prior to this she worked at Skinners Kent Academy in Tunbridge Wells, where she was Head of Faculty of Science and PE.
A vibrant, exciting teacher and an experienced leader, Mrs Kennett will be a great addition to the College community, and will be taking over Mr. Came’s classes when he retires at the end of this term, providing a handover to ensure that she is fully up and running. Dover College looks forward to welcoming her in December.

"Bright World is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment."
The number of UK Boarding Schools and important Industry Associations attending our Company Conference last week was testament to how highly thought of Bright World Guardianships is. We have had some wonderful feedback at how impressed our guests were with the amount we invest in Child Protection and Safeguarding. It is so important to bring the whole company together once each year to share experiences and obtain important Child Protection Training. I believe it really sets Bright World apart and enables us to strive to be the best in UK guardianship' Lana Foster, Bright World Managing Director
The Bright World Company Conference 2018 was a resounding success. So many of our close partner schools and agents took the time to join us. We all came away feeling very positive about the Guardianship industry and the work that schools and Bright World do together to keep children safe.
