Local Coordinators' meeting in London for Bright World Guardianships

With our Head Office in Sussex and our Local Coordinators based as far away from us as Devon and York, it is really important that we all get together twice per year to meet up, share stories, learn about updates and generally review how things are going so far.  The November Bright World Local Coordinators' Meeting took place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.  Below you can see us all after the meeting.

We now have 17 Local Coordinators and covers nearly 200 UK boarding schools across the UK.  This is why it is important that we all know how things should be done, learn from experiences and share them with each other.

The meeting lasted all morning and Lindsay Tribe, our new Guardianship Host Family Coordinator gave us an overview of how things were going on our host family recruitment front and gave us all hints and tips about completing the new Criminal Records Bureau check forms.

Fiona Walters, our Senior Programme Manager, then went over a few things she felt needed changing for next year as we grow and Lana Foster, Managing Director, then told our team about the new Parent Portal that we are introducing for next year which will enable each parent to have a web based  reports and pictures archive and their own private login.

Delegates were then given the option of  having lunch or going shopping in London - as you can imagine the restaurant remained empty!
