This year, we celebrated the quadrennial Leap Day and as a result, we waved goodbye to a slightly longer February. It is believed that with a Leap Day comes good fortune and Bright World certainly had a very prosperous month.
At the start of the month, we were very excited to learn that we would be entering February as new Corporate Members of English UK. English UK is the national association of accredited English Language centres, and the world's leading language teaching association. As a UK-registered charity, their key aim is to advance the education of international students in the English language.
Members of English UK have exclusive access to specialised training courses, conferences, business support, news updates, industry reports and more. In September 2016, members of our Head Office team will be attending StudyWorld London at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel. In order to attend the event, educators have to be fully-accredited and agents and educational consultants must either be members of reputable professional organisations or meet tough selection criteria. We are therefore very pleased to be able to attend such a prestigious event and to be able to meet with such exceptional educators.
We are delighted to be partnered with such a fantastic organisation and we look forward to working closely with English UK to enhance the experience for our students and to benefit from the industry-specific training courses now available to us.
"Bright World is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment."
The second winner of the Bright World WOW Award 2018/19 goes to our Accommodation and Travel Manager, Fi Williamson for outstanding work in successfully placing students with host families.
With students from the UK, Africa, China, Hong Kong, Korea, The Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, Bournemouth Collegiate School A-Level Boarders have achieved record breaking results this year with a fantastic 74% of grades at A*-B, and 96* A*-C.
