Exciting times at Rossall School

It is an exciting time at Rossall School. Along with a new Head, Mr Jeremy Quartermain, Rossall has just announced its new £4 million Sports Centre, as well as various other campus upgrades.

The Council of Rossall School recently announced the appointment of Mr Jeremy Quartermain as the school's new Head. Jeremy is currently Deputy Head (Academic) at Brentwood School, and will join Rossall from 1st August 2018. Current Head, Ms Elaine Purves, will leave Rossall School in August, following a 5-year post, to take up another headship in Brussels, Belgium.

Over the holidays, work is set to begin on the new £4 million Sports Centre, with a completion date set for the start of the 2019/2020 academic year. The centre will include an indoor sports hall, a four-lane 50m sprint track, viewing gallery, fitness suite and changing facilities.

The school is also soon to see a variety of improvements to its nearly 175-year-old campus. The Junior School, Mathematics Department and Wren Boarding House are being completely refurbished; Big School will see a much-needed upgrade (complete with new heating system); a new science lab, and photography studio will be introduced; the Chapel will undergo several repairs; and the Golf Academy will see a new putting suite, driving nets suite, offices and social room.
