As Bright World’s travels continue for 2013, it was Guardianship Care Manager, Cory Holden and Sales & Marketing Manager, Charlotte Hamson (pictured above with Tim of Regents International School Pattaya, Thailand) who attended the prestigious Alphe Russia event in St Petersburg last weekend.
Alphe organises 8 events worldwide, where Educational Agents and Consultants meet with Education providers from all different walks of life, all with the same objective; to promote their School/University/College.
To kick things off, educators and Agents were firstly invited to congregate in the Ballroom Foyer of the outstanding, Astoria Hotel for welcome drinks and registrations on the Friday night. This; a perfect opportunity for delegates to socialise and catch up or indeed to meet for the first time in a relaxed environment. After drinks, delegates were invited for dinner at a local restaurant, looking out over the stunning Church of Spilled Blood, before heading to back to the hotel.
The Saturday morning began bright and early and Bright World began a busy day of meetings. The first of the day was Anastasia Alipova from Intellect-Tour. Intellect-Tour already have one student enrolled on our guardianship programme. The company have offices operating in both Moscow and St Petersburg and are continuing to send students to the UK to study.
Anastasia (pictured above right) said she would like to send more students to Bright World for guardianship because she likes the professionalism and quality of service provided. Intellect-Tour have direct agreements with many UK Boarding Schools so may not require assistance with placement, however Anastasia was extremely impressed with the number of Schools we represented and said she was pleased to have us as a UK Partner.
As the meetings continued, Bright World had the opportunity to meet and engage with Agents who were new to the UK market and therefore in need of the assistance from our Director of Admissions, Sheena Trist. Bright World representatives, Cory and Charlotte explained the importance of working with an experienced and well known UK based placement consultancy, such as Bright World.
“Not only can Agents and Parents expect to receive accurate, impartial advice but they will also reap the benefits of our excellent relationships with UK Boarding Schools.”
Charlotte Hamson, Sales & Marketing Manager for Bright World.
Agents who already have an existing presence and active relations with UK Boarding Schools and Universities came with questions relating to Bright World’s reputable Guardianship service. A programme which continues to develop and grow as more and more students enrol. Galina Selivanova of Global Step (pictured left with Cory) was eager to promote Bright World’s guardianship programme amongst her colleagues and indeed prospective parents.
Extra visits from Agents who already work with us and whom wanted to express their thanks and appreciation for our professionalism and speedy problem solving were also well received. See Marina from close Partners’, ITEC (pictured below). Marina explained that there are high expectations from Russian parents who are sending their children to live alone for the first time and was pleased to look at her existing student profiles on our interactive student portal, BLink. Marina was especially impressed but the activity timeline which allows parents to view all communication between Bright World and the child. BLink will soon allow parents to pay via credit care and to view a statement of accounts and all travel, homestay arrangements.
Delegates finished meetings for the day at 5.30 and returned for a Gala dinner in the beautiful ballroom foyer, awaking on Sunday for a shorter day of meetings.
Bright World thoroughly enjoyed the conference, which was made even more enjoyable by the Alphe staff at Hothouse Media so a big thanks to all the Alphe Russia team!
