All change at Forres Sandle Manor School

New Bright World partner school, Forres Sandle Manor, recently announced their new Headmaster, as well as their intentions to begin enrolling international students.

FSM School is a small, co-educational preparatory Independent School, set in 35 beautiful acres of the New Forest. With current student numbers of around 150, it's not difficult to see why there’s such a close community feel amongst staff and students. In order to further diversify this community, the school is now focused on recruiting international students.

New Headmaster

The school, situated in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, also announced over the Easter holidays that Jody Wells would be taking over as Headmaster. Mr Wells is well known to everyone at the school already, having occupied the role of Deputy Head for eight years now. Following a successful period as interim Headmaster, Jody has now taken the position permanently. Having started in April, Mr Wells is already beginning to implement ideas and changes, both strategic and curriculum-based.

Mr Wells comments: “I’m very excited to take on leading the School as Headmaster. The School has a dedicated staffing team who place our students at the centre of everything we do. We focus on nurturing students to individual success and that will remain, along with introducing some exciting new activities to really make sure students thrive.”

Prepped for life

Forres Sandle Manor is a prep school, which means it serves the purpose of preparing children for the Common Entrance Examination. Prep schools are selective, independent boarding schools, which were originally formed in the late 19th century to prepare boys for the top British public schools. Today, prep schools like FSM are still a good route to being accepted by a top-ranking school.
