When schools close for Exeat weekends and half terms all students have to leave and the school boarding houses close. The concept of going to a stranger's home can be a big worry to students and parents and raises many questions.

At Bright World we have devised our very own host family alternative at Cambridge Melchior College. The Relax & Revise programme offers international students another choice during their UK half term holidays and at Easter. There are still some spaces left for students on our next course at May half term.

For some parents, the need for a UK-based guardian service registered in England or the UK comes as a surprise. Often they only find out they need this service once their school place is confirmed. Confusion is then caused when some Guardianship Organisations offer several different 'levels' of care with the cheapest often called 'Emergency-only'.

Our universities have a requirement for all under 18 year olds from overseas to have a UK-based guardian. For overseas parents who do not have a friend or family member who lives in the UK, an AEGIS accredited guardianship company like Bright World really is the best choice.
