Oxford Summer Camp runs at Cothill House, a leading Preparatory school just outside of Oxford.
The course provides 15 hours of English language tuition each week focussed on communicative English. Local English children join the camp allowing for integration and the natural development of language. English children attend Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 21:30 and take part in all aspects of camp, including the last hour of the English lessons.
Oxford Summer Camp provide structured activity afternoons where students can choose form a wide range of activities. They offer sports, creative and adventure activities allowing students to choose things they enjoy as well as trying something new. All staff have sports or arts backgrounds to provide the best instruction for all students. Students are separated into houses to ensure they are with people of the same age as well as mixing nationalities with other international students and native English speakers.
Alongside their multi activity course, the camp also offer a specialist academy course. This course offers high-level coaching in a range of activities; Athletics, Dance, Rowing, Rugby, Tennis, Golf, Performing Arts, Survival and the Oxford Experience. Students receive 24 hours of coaching during the week with up to 90% of children on the academy being native-English speakers. A minimum intermediate level of English is required for this course.
On campus accommodation provides rooms of between 2 and 6 students per room (separate male and female accomodation) with shared bathrooms. Staff stay on the same corridors as students so there is always someone close by in case of any problems in the night.
