This family-run and family-owned Summer School offers Residential English Language Courses with Activies and Excursions
The Directors and families are in residence at the summer school to provide students with the high level of pastoral care that parents appreciate. The family atmosphere helps students to relax and encourages communication. Students live with teachers, leaders and residential staff in well supervised boarding houses. Parents or students can choose from single or shared rooms. Each boarding house has a House Manager, and 2 evening assistants, that provide 24 hour supervision and pastoral care. English teachers and Activity leaders also reside in each house providing excellent supervision ratio.
1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 week Courses in July and August at Hurstpierpoint College near Brighton, UK for Young Learners and Teenagers aged 10-13 (Juniors) and 14-17 (Seniors)

Manor courses provide a general English course; including a placement test, 18 hours of tuition per week in classes of 15, and we provide tuition for all levels – beginner to advance. Students are placed into classes according to their level, nationality and age. Their English course provides students with two English teachers each providing 2 different lessons each morning. All English teachers have relevant qualifications and provide fun, interactive and communicative lessons.
The extensive activity programme provides students the opportunity to play sports, be creative in our arts and crafts department, discover and develop talents in music, dance and drama on a daily basis. Participation in the activity programme is actively encouraged (via the registration prior to choosing an activity) and provides students with a continual learning process. We provide 3 activity sessions per day: #1 from 2.00 to 3.45pm #2 from 4.15 to 6.00pm and #3 from 8.00-10.00pm. At 2.00 and 4.15 students register with their leader before making their activity choice, at 8.00pm students can go straight to their activity. Sports include: tennis, football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, rock climbing. Activity leaders have appropriate and relevant training/qualifications.
Manor Courses excursions provide students with the chance to discover some of England’s most treasured towns, cities and tourist attractions.Students are escorted by our staff in small groups and travel on safe and comfortable coaches. During the evening ‘Project English’ lessons are focused on the destination of the next excursion. Excursions include Oxford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Brighton, Hastings, Arundel and Chichester.
The owners, the Directors, live at the college all summer and promise 24 hour support for students, parents, agents and teachers.
