Situated in the beautiful, historic City of Canterbury on a 300-acre site. The campus is within half an hour’s walk from the City centre, 1 hour 15 minutes by train to London Victoria, close to English Channel/Tunnel Ports and within easy access to International Airports.
The University received its Charter in 1965. Today it has an international reputation for academic excellence, which is maintained by its high standards of teaching and research. Several subjects have been ranked as among the best in the UK. In the past, graduates from Kent have also enjoyed the best employability rates of any university. It has a truly multicultural flavour with international students from over a hundred nationalities representing 25% of its 8,000 full-time student body.
The University of Kent offers over 300 degree programmes in 40 different subjects across three faculties: Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medical Studies. Degrees can be single honours, joint honours involving two disciplines or multidisciplinary honours. Many programmes offer the opportunity to study computing or learn a language, to take a year abroad, or in some cases, a year in industry.
