Top Results for Bright World’s Partner Schools

Bright World is very pleased to announce some outstanding results from this year's league tables.

Based on 2016's GCSE results, Bright World’s Partner School, Stover School is delighted to be ranked as the best non-selective school in Devon, according to the Department of Education’s Attainment8 and the percentage of A* to C grades in English and Maths.

Commenting on the news, Headmaster Mr Richard Notman said: “Whilst we are aware that league tables are a narrow measure of the overall educational service that the school provides, I am delighted with our examination outcomes for 2016. It speaks volumes about the excellent work ethic of our pupils and the dedication of our talented staff. The league tables are seen by many parents as an important tool when it comes to choosing a school for their children. Stover provides a co-educational, non-selective environment which, best models reality, allowing the pupils to build inter-personal skills, empathy, independence and the fortitude required to be successful in the wider world.”

The Department for Education has also produced a new set of league tables, which are based on the percentage of students who achieve A Level grades of AAB, including at least two facilitating subjects. This new measure is a means to judge how well schools meet the entry requirements of the UK’s top universities.

According to these results, Bright World’s partner school, Roedean School has been named the Top Girls’ School in Sussex.

51.9% of last year’s Roedean A-Level cohort achieved this very high standard, and this figure is even more impressive when compared to local schools and colleges, including co-ed and girls’ institutions.
