Farlington look back on a rewarding year! Message from the Headmistress ‐ Louise Higson
2011 – 2012 has been another fabulous year for Farlington. Our girls certainly do live life to the full! This Focus is filled with all of the varied and exciting events that have taken place over the last four weeks. Prep School activities have ranged from the new overnight stay for Year 4s to Holmbury St Mary to Year 6’s much‐anticipated week’s stay on the Isle of Wight and in the Senior School, camping at Blacklands Farm to the Salter’s Festival of Chemistry! The whole school community, from Nursery to Sixth Form, has enjoyed being together at the Jubilee celebrations and the Musical Marathon.
Whatever they have been doing, the girls, and boys, have been busy, they have had fun and they have been happy!
The academic focus still remains. Prep 6 completed their SATs, Years 10 and 11 their GCSEs and the Sixth Form their AS and A2 papers.
Farlington girls work hard and play hard! We wish them all the very best, knowing they have prepared well and deserve success. To those who leave us at the end of this academic year I wish them every success and future happiness. We know that they depart ready to approach their future with confidence and the determination to succeed in whatever they choose to do. They are Farlington girls and we will always be proud of them.
To everyone else, may you have a restful and happy holiday, and I look forward to seeing you all in September.
