Royal Wolverhampton boarding school is situated about half an hour outside of the city of Birmingham, England in the West Midlands, 2 hours from London by train or car. It is a co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls from the age of 2-18 years. Boarding pupils are accepted from the age of 10. The school was founded in 1850 and its patron used to be Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

The school is moving from strength to strength and in recent years, the national examination results have been excellent at both A and GCSE levels. 2001 saw three Oxbridge candidates who were all successful in securing their places. Outside the classroom there have also been successes. The school’s debating team reached the national finals at the Oxford union, at basketball the under 16 team reached the national quarter final and the school musicians continue to perform at the highest level.

Behind the elegant main building lies a thoroughly modern boarding school with facilities that include a new 25m Indoor heated pool with a dance studio, conference room and café , 3 information technology suites, an art, craft and design centre, a library, a theatre and a hi-tech music suite. The new sixth form centre has been designed in the style of an Internet Café.

Programme options:
In the junior school students follow a broadly based curriculum and expectations are high. In 2001 half of the pupils achieved above average National test results. From year 10 onwards students follow the traditional GCSE and A level programmes. Students who need more English before starting their academic study can join an Induction course at the School.
